Deb DiGiovanni and Steph Tolev, two female powerhouses that are tearing up the Los Angeles comedy scene are bringing their brash humor up the west coast. Deb who’s a Canadian legend was a finalist on Last Comic Standing and Steph who’s a Canadian tornado was just named one of Comedy Central’s comics to watch of 2018 are teaming up for a week of shows on route to Vancouver. “Separated at Birth” showcases the two distinctly original comedians who while very different have a special sibling type quality.
Debra DiGiovanni is a standup, writer and performer based in Los Angeles. Originally from Toronto, Debra is known for her first hour special Single, Awkward Female that premiered on Showtime in 2011 and her next hour special Here’s The Thing premiered on the Crave Network in April 2018. Additionally, Debra has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live At Gotham, Funny or Die’s Office Humor, Conan, and was a finalist on the 5th season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Debra tours live at venues and festivals around the world including the Glasgow Comedy Festival, JFL Sydney, Bridgetown, Austin’s Moontower Fest, High Plains, Bumbershoot and RIOT LA. Additionally she has appeared at JFL NorthWest, JFL Toronto as well as the prestigious Just For Laughs Montreal festival over 15 times.
Steph Tolev is a stand up and sketch comedian also from Toronto, currently living in LA. This year alone Steph performed at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Comedy Central’s Clusterfest in San Francisco, Laughing Skull and High Plains. She starred in Sarah Silvermans facebook watch show “Please Understand Me”, was featured in Comedy Central’s digital short “Resolutions” and will appear in this season of Corporate also on Comedy Central.
Steph has two albums out on itunes her stand up album “Hot N’ Hungry” and sketch “So Many Wolves” with her duo Ladystache. Both got critically acclaimed reviews from the Comedy Network and hit number one on itunes. Steph has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest, JFL42, Bridgetown, Big Sky and the San Fran Sketch Fest.
